Sorry but I really don't see the point in making SLE different then. If the
faster boot on TW is the only reason then I'm puzzled.

Why would we want to keep a slower boot on SLE if there's no technical reason
to do so ? Especially since this force us to load unconditionally the module on
boot anyways.
