@Richard: If the crash is reproducible, please execute (as root)
> ZYPP_LOGFILE=/tmp/zypp.1061208.log ZYPP_MEDIA_CURL_DEBUG=2 zypper ref -f mozilla
(or any other zypper command that crashes) and attach the logfile
/tmp/zypp.1061208.log. 

As the crash happens inside libcurl (libssl/libcrypto) it would be interesting
to now if
> curl https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/mozilla/openSUSE_Leap_42.3/repodata/repomd.xml
succeeds?
