Comment # 8 on bug 1002875 from Cristiano Guadagnino

I have the same symptom on two different boxes, with different graphic cards
(one is a desktop with AMD graphics, one is a laptop with intel graphics).

It's been some months since I saw the plymouth splash screen last time.
Now it consistently show only a black screen with a blinking cursor top left.

Also the desktop takes a lot of time to boot up, so it's not a matter of time.
The laptop is very fast, but a few months ago I was able to see the splash
screen briefly even if it was so fast.

Also I would like to point out that my report is NOT a duplicate of bug
1008489, because I do not have core-dumps.

If I can provide more info don't hesitate to ask.
