After I upgraded to new 5.7.1 kernel, I thought the USB stopped functioning (external kb, USB wifi etc) however when you give enough time like 2-3 minutes everything goes back to normal. I noticed another user on Reddit who speaks about his fingerprint reader not working after upgrading to 5.17.1 it could be related as well.
