(In reply to Dominique Leuenberger from comment #2)

That is I'm against https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Usr_merge ... that is I
indeed prefere FHS and POSIX that is Essential commands for users and system
should remain in /bin for users respectively in /sbin for root. An overfilled
/usr/bin and /usr/sbin is not what is desirable. This has nothing todo with
partitions but with usability! Also to use links below /bin and /sbin does not
solve the problem of an overwhelming /usr/bin nor /usr/sbin

3.4. /bin : Essential user command binaries (for use by all users)

3.4.1. Purpose

/bin contains commands that may be used by both the system administrator and by
users, but which are required when no other filesystems are mounted (e.g. in
single user mode). It may also contain commands which are used indirectly by
scripts. [1]

[...]

6.1.6. /sbin : Essential system binaries

Linux systems place commands relating to filesystem maintenance and boot loader
management into /sbin.

... therefor: can we stop this now. Ever tried to find something useful below
e.g. /usr/bin/
