Thanks for the report.

Some investigation must be done, since Nautilus delegates the thumbnail
generation to proper thumbnailers (according to /usr/share/thumbnailers).

And quickly grepping around Nautilus' source code doesn't return anything to do
with at-spi2-core, so exactly why it's needed in the first place is still a
mystery to me.
