Sometime between yesterday and this morning, the EC2 instance managed to set permission 000 to /lib64/ld-2.22.so and subsequently stopped working. In the meanwhile GCE instance runs completely fine. "I guess this is why we aren't shipping 42.2 on EC2 yet", I'm not running it on EC2 anymore, so I'll leave this bug for another user to work on.
