I found the root cause, my second monitor. I'm using a laptop which has a 60Hz built-in display and an external monitor with 144Hz. I noticed that in GRUB, when my second monitor was on, the screen blinked in a regular interval (like 10 seconds). So, I turned of the monitor and I attempted several logins without hanging. I will check if it needs to be reported upstream.
