I am having this same issue in current TW release (VERSION_ID="20190215"). This
is the first time I have encountered this issue with TW since beginning to use
it on this machine in 2012.

It's difficult to find the sddm log file, since there is a memory corruption
bub in sddm that makes sddm put it in a random directory in the user's home
directory.

Here's my output from ~/R?U/.local/share/sddm/xorg-session.log:

nohup: missing operand
Try 'nohup --help' for more information.

Which isn't very helpful.

There are no .xsession-errors files created.

Output from /var/log/Xorg.0.log:
