Hi Thorsten, I do not think there is any logic that enables the network when using remote add-ons (the profile includes this information). However, Linuxrc activates the network if the AutoYaST profile is in a remote location. And I would say that explains this behavior. I check that 15.3 does pretty much the same. If you need the network to install the system, you should provide a working network configuration via Linuxrc. Alternatively, you can include your network configuration in the profile and set the option "setup_before_proposal" to true. AutoYaST should enable the network at the beginning of the installation then. See https://doc.opensuse.org/projects/autoyast/#CreateProfile-Network-Resource for further information. So I would say it works as expected, although I understand it might be confusing. Therefore, I am closing the bug as INVALID, but please feel free to reopen it if you disagree. Regards, Imo
