No, I don't hear any blip if the speaker is muted before shutdown.

I have noticed, though, that if I record something through the internal mic and
then play that recording back through the internal speakers, there is an
audible blip at the start and end of the recording. If I play some pre-existing
audio file, there are no blips. That makes me think the internal mic is
recording a blip at the start and end of the recording.
