Comment # 24 on bug 954143 from Ancor Gonzalez Sosa

This pull request should fix the problem, including bug#1002417. I want to
merge it in the SLE-12-SP2/Leap 42.2 shared codebase. Since both are in beta
stage I need the blessings from both release managers (setting needinfo).

For Leap 42.2 the benefit should be obvious.

For SLE-12-SP2 it should be harmless for Gnome and useful for customers
installing KDE from packagehub.
