My current grief is with Nouveau crashing on NVS 295 as soon as X11 starts and
modesetting crashing as soon as as 3D application is running for a while.

So while it does not make the card usable it is certainly an improvement for
this particular card.

Based on this experience and people who *are* active in nouveau development
recommending modesetting for recent cards I suggested this patch.

I can always fix the issue locally with xorg.conf now I know there is
alternative driver that tends to work better.
