The last line that I see on the console is the "initrd" line. Then the screen blanks, then nothing. Nothing significant is displayed, and nothing is logged. Computer is a Dell Inspiron N5010 laptop. Although 64 bit capable, I installed the 32 bit version in a test partition. The system has 6G of memory, but it is not all accessible with the default kernel. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Reboot 2. Select the desktop kernel in the grub menu 3. Hit enter.
