The YaST2 sound setup module does not allow me to test the settings at all. I could enable (apparently) the "Haswell sound" since I can actually hear sound playing within Firefox and the KDE volume mixer also looks quite fine. Just within YaST2 I see no way to verify that my sound is actually working.
