I am referring to the volume applet that sits in systray (it says GMixer). This is default XFCE upgrade (from 12.3). hwinfo --sound 16: PCI 1b.0: 0403 Audio device [Created at pci.328] Unique ID: u1Nb.SGxGJCiH+82 SysFS ID: /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1b.0 SysFS BusID: 0000:00:1b.0 Hardware Class: sound Model: "Intel 82801I (ICH9 Family) HD Audio Controller" Vendor: pci 0x8086 "Intel Corporation" Device: pci 0x293e "82801I (ICH9 Family) HD Audio Controller" SubVendor: pci 0x1028 "Dell" SubDevice: pci 0x024f Revision: 0x03 Driver: "snd_hda_intel" Driver Modules: "snd_hda_intel" Memory Range: 0xf6adc000-0xf6adffff (rw,non-prefetchable) IRQ: 47 (633 events) Module Alias: "pci:v00008086d0000293Esv00001028sd0000024Fbc04sc03i00" Driver Info #0: Driver Status: snd_hda_intel is active Driver Activation Cmd: "modprobe snd_hda_intel" Config Status: cfg=yes, avail=yes, need=no, active=unknown The second command showed up another mixer "Playback (PulseAudio Mixer)" and the volume in this dialog is shifted comparing Gmixer. I mean Gmixer shows let's say 20%, this one at the same time shows 0%. The output is in the attachment.
