Sorry for lost activity.
Maintainer changes and I was not notified about this bug...

Anyway the config files you provided I tried on openSUSE-13.1 and everything
works as expected with proper permissions.

Could you please check if the behaviour is present on some supported openSUSE
version so I should dig further or could I mark this as "magically" fixed by
some activity in-between?
