I removed completely the following lines:
  <deploy_image>
    <image_installation config:type="boolean">false</image_installation>
  </deploy_image>

    <category_filter>
      <category config:type="list"/>
    </category_filter>

    <image/>

And still run into the same complaint:
Calling the YaST module inst_autoimage has failed.

I don't get a complaint that profile does not pass jing or rpmlint in Yast.

Do you need new y2logs?
