Weird systemd-fsck-root.service should be ordered after the device. Just to make sure, could you boot and break in the initramfs (add rd.break to the kernel command line) and then show the outpout of: $ systemctl show -pAfter systemd-fsck-root.service If the ordering constraint against the device is really present, could you try to boot with the debug logs enabled ? (add to the kernel command line "debug printk.devkmsg=on". Thanks.
