I managed to test this now with kernel-default 6.1.1-1-default kernel, AND
CANNOT REPRODUCE THE ISSUE.

So in whatever way, my self-built kernel is at fault. I'll attach my .config
for reference.

Chang, I'm happy for you to drop this at that point as "worksforme", but if you
would have any idea / suggestion what I could do different with my kernel
build, I'd be happy to try that. If you like, we could continue in direct mail.
