It just happened again with 5.4.14-2.1.g3041591. I guess I can't keep the assertion that that patch actually fixed anything. I have the vague impression though that the problems I see are related to chrome (RocketChat), which suggests that I may be looking at a Mesa-related issue. I don't feel qualified to dig much deeper, I'm more a dumb user than anything else in this area.
