I have no idea what happened to your system. I booted into Leap 42.2 and did a normal update. VirtualBox started normally, To further test, I used YaST to remove all VirtualBox packages, and then reinstalled them. Again, VirtualBox started normally as my normal user. File /usr/bin/VirtualBox (Note spelling) is present, owned by root:root, and has permissions 0755. That is what is expected. Files /usr/lib/virtualbox/VBox* are present and also have the expected owners and permissions.
