Comment # 4 on bug 1227266 from Takashi Iwai

I tried to install Leap 15.6 freshly on an old Intel Skylake laptop, and I see
a similar crash.

Interestingly, the latest 6.9.7 kernel also showed the crash on this machine. 
Could you verify whether you see the same effect?  You can get 6.9.7 kernel for
Leap 15 from OBS Kernel:stable:Backport repo:
  http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Kernel:/stable:/Backport/standard/

Also, could you verify that the problem doesn't happen when you boot with
nomodeset boot option, i.e. disabling the i915 driver, too?
