Hi Petr,
the version you provided works - kind of. The patch for suitesparse is missing,
so I took my version and integrated your patch for the info - file issue.
Nevertheless and just to let you know: my version stems from here:

#38305 https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?38305

and the patch stems from the same person your patch stems from - it was
recommended on friday, 20th on the help-octave mailing list.

The patches differ kind of, they seem to do the same, the question is only,
what is the "official" version to use.

Maybe you can find out, or should I write to Thorsten to ask him?
