After manually updating pipewire yesterday, all the updates worked.

I still believe this is a bug that got fixed by a work-around. I have been
using SUSE since 1997 and I am prepared to send bug reports and update
manually. However, a beginner faced with 1500+ packages to update will be
thoroughly confused. Why do I have to update manually if the repositories are
set to automatic update? 

As a software developer that looks to me like a bug in the update routine, I am
afraid. However, now that I updated, I will not be able to provide further
information.
