Contents of /var/log after upgrade

Here is the contents of /var/log after an upgrade; hopefully it will show the
lack of Windows boot in the GRUB setup. I got this log by stopping the system
reboot after the upgrade; doing Ctrl-Alt-F2 to get a console; mounting a USB
stick on /mnt ; and doing cd /;tar -cf /mnt/logs.tar var/log
