The yubioath-desktop version in 15.1 does not recognize my connected yubikey. ykman and all the other tools appear to work but the yubico authenticator does not. I've updated to the most recent version 4.3.6 and it started working. I also submitted the latest version to the devel project: https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/706968 I would propose an update to 4.3.6 for Leap 15.1 if possible.
