here's some info on hplip package that is currently (VERSION_ID="20220505")
installed on my PC:

I checked
https://download.opensuse.org/history/20220428/tumbleweed/repo/oss/x86_64/libusb-1_0-0-1.0.26-1.1.x86_64.rpm,
which is the version I have installed on my PC and this is giving trouble.
Therefore, I think installing the same version again is not promising. But I
downloaded the rpm file just to be on the safe side.

On my old PC I looked up what version of libusb is working fine: it's
libusb-1_0-0 v1.0.21-3.3.1.
Does this information help at all trying to allocate the problem?
Are there any information dumps I can provide for finding the problem? I'll be
happy to provide this.
