Hi Neil,

Are you using `linux` command in 32-bit efi for booting kernel ? If so, could
you please revert to old "working" grub, and try "linuxefi" there to see if the
same problem can be reproduced? The last modification in grub will change the
linux command to use efi handover protocol on efi platforms to boot the kernel,
and probably ia32 kernel is having some issues dealing with that.
