as the bug was not detected for some time, it may be in fact not urgent.
Nevertheless I'm wondering who introduced the wrong behavior.
dc is one of the oldest UNIX tools and such a change is near blasphemy. ;-)
I personally would prefer restoring the standard behavior in the next
15.3, how can I support?

Ken is the maintainer of GNU dc, what he would suggest?

I concur: my preferences is that the patch be reverted in the current and
future releases of OpenSUSE, but there is no pressing need to backport
this reversion to older releases.
