I'm now on Leap 42.1 with
glibc-2.19-19.1.x86_64
wpa_supplicant-2.2-6.2.x86_64
NetworkManager-1.0.6-7.1.x86_64.

I've found a solution for my rather old 13.1, and on Leap 42.1 - out-of-the-box
plus online updating - NetworkManager does what it is expected to do. :-)
