Yes. Junk is shown, switching to VT gives me the console login. Switching back
to X11 gives the desktop.

The previously released one 4.12.14-lp150.12.48.1 does not have this issue.

Same issue, except what was previously junk is now blank. Switching to VT gives
me the console login. Switching back to X11 gives the desktop.
