Well, since we have a systemd update on the way, I don't think we need the grub
command line fix.
It wouldn't even be needed if we have kept the systemd patches, because Werner
made sure that systemd is reacting on 'readonly' instead of 'ro' on the command
line.
Still, I have no overview for what other reasons (maybe dracut) your patch
should be kept.
