Hi Klaus,

I have created a test version of salt in my home project map:
https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:aboe76/salt-zeromq

Which has the necessary changes.
The pre install of salt-master creates the user salt and group if they don't   
exist and I have a patch which will modify the default salt master config file
to use salt user.

Only thing left is the communication part If you are willing to provide that
part.

As far as using saltstack on suse/opensuse some love is still necessary,
zypper repo support can be improved and suse apachectl tricks come to mind.

But I like the idea of suse working closer together with the saltstack project.
I have already directed Richard Brown of the openqa project to talk directly to
saltstack project of integrating the testing and qa of saltstack.
