TDE and IceWM sessions work fine in 20241206 here, but startplasma-x11 does not
do enough to result in any messages I can find in dmesg, journal, tdm.log,
Xorg.0.log, .xsession-errors or coredumpctl. Backleveling Mesa from 24.3.1 to
24.3.0 didn't help. Trying plasma X11 from TDM blacks the screen briefly, after
which the TDM background repaints, but the greeter itself does not reappear. In
Xterm in Icewm, startplasma-x11 blacks the screen briefly, after which the
following displays in the Xterm:
kf.dbusaddons: Skipping syncing of environment variable "BASH_FUNC_mc%%" as
name contains unsupported characters
kf.kirigami.platform: Failed to find a Kirigami platform plugin for style
"Fusion".

On two boots only (out of several), dmesg produced the following (this with
