If option "synchronize without daemon" is selected in the YaST2 module for ntp configuration, the system time does not get updated. This is caused by a missing absolute path name for the sntp command in line 222 in script start-ntpd. When this script is run by cron, /usr/sbin is not in the search path and sntp will not be found.
