The machine would hang hard when booting with the lid closed. It was always at the same point: Starting Load/Save Screen Backlight Brightness of leds:dell::kbd_backlight... A firmware issue? I simply masked that systemd unit. systemctl mask systemd-backlight@leds\:dell\:\:kbd_backlight.service
