gdb 7.11 is not linked with libipt, which means reverse debugging and tracing with Processor Trace on newer Intel CPUs does not work For this libipt would need to be packaged https://github.com/01org/processor-trace/commits/master and the gdb configure line should use --with-intel-pt=yes
