Sorry folks, forgot to mention: "When trying to look into the CPIO package within a SRPM via ftp using mc" i.e.: open ftp://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/repositories/Kernel:/stable/standard/src and try to take a look into the CPIO - archive within any kernel SRPM from within mc.
