A small comment... This may be related to YAST2 unable to start the pure-ftpd service (no output similar to what was described when attempted to start from command line). So, when this bug is fixed, the YAST applet will need to be verified working, too... else a new bug will need to be created. Only reason why I'm not completely certain the YAST issue is related is that there has been a YAST2/pure-ftpd issue since at least 13.1 and don't know if what I observed had been fixed. Hard to know when there is no output...
