example of a scrolling delay
problem: severe display delay when typing from the keyboard (almost
everywhere), and scrolling events (completely absent on the desktop, found in
some applications).
this happens when working only with the built-in monitor (laptop) at 120 Hertz,
regardless of the network connection and power consumption profile
the problem is completely absent:
under the same conditions, but at 48 Hertz;
with an external monitor connected (any frequency of both screens);
when working only with an external monitor (any frequency of the screen);
when using Xorg in any conditions
Also, I haven't seen anything like this in Gnome 47.0 and Gnome 46.2; it all
appeared in Gnome 47.1
