Hi Andreas, 

Thank you for your quick response .

I installed mod_guardman and its dependencies from the indicated repo . 
However the failure still occurs .
So , I decided to uninstall them and remove the mod_gearman from
/etc/logrotate.d
[ BTW that it was empty .... maybe some leftovers from some zypper/yast2
uninsatlls  ] .

As for squidGuard I changed its associated file in /etc/logrotate.d   by adding
su squid squid  .
So far is fine . 

Question :   Are squid and squidGuard  mandatory ?
