Michael, thank you very much, it was the case indeed. One thing manual for
"mount" states the rw mode is the default (which appears not to be true).

The other issue is if Yast could check if it is able to write to given
partition in advance and give more informative error, it would be great.

So as for installing kernels, I think it will be OK now, since I can mount boot
as read-write partition.

What to do with this report?
* WORKSFORME?
* or keep it open as wish for appropriate message in Yast?
