You are correct this is in the previously working (*-55.39) version.

I was running that on the 15th and this is in the message log (Same older
message log you have a copy of):

So, it appears that error already existed, but hey at least the crash is fixed!
 Also thank you immensely for looking into this.  This computer is my daily
driver and I'd be kind of screwed without it.
