Depending on the lockscreen theme in use, in case of monitor (un)plugging, you get: 1) a crash after entering the password; this will cause kscreenlocker to be respawned. It's a minor annoyance because you can re-enter the password and everything is fine or 2) kscreenlocker can't be unlocked at all, i.e. you are locked out of your PC. This is a severe regression. I get #1 with the internal fallback lockscreen. I get #2 with the opensuse lockscreen. Apparently this can't be fixed and upstream doesn't like the proposed workarounds.
