You just have to select the rescue system (when booting from the installation medium) which gives you a shell and evaluate the commands (evtl. you will want to mount an additional storage device to write the output of the commands to). This can be done in a short amount of time and there is nearly no risk involved, since dmraid just reads the on-disk metadata description and sets up a device mapper device. The options of the commands to be evaluated in comment #8 just query the metadata.
