The compressed source files are taken from the upstream project. If you look
inside, the file "act-0.2.34/main.go" contains this line:

    var version = "v0.2.27-dev" // Manually bump after tagging next release

I don't know why this does not contain the correct version string. Maybe they
forget it?

I opened a new issue in the upstream project:

   https://github.com/nektos/act/issues/1555

In the meantime, we need to patch the sources...
