Ok, I finally spotted it.

brcmfmac43456-sdio.clm_blob does not come from kernel-firmware via generated
dependencies but directly from bcm43xx-firmware (which is added explicitly) -
and
not kernel-firmware-brcm, which did not exist at that time.

See bug 1099327 for reference.

And bcm43xx-firmware misses brcmfmac43455-sdio.clm_blob but has
brcmfmac43456-sdio.clm_blob (instead?).

To me this looks like bcm43xx-firmware is some relict not kept up-to-date.

Anyway, as bug 1099327 came from the aarch64 side: how to move forward?
