Indeed, the users dictd and syslogd-resolve had the same UID less than 500 in
my case. I removed the dictd package and the dictd user and rebooted then. Here

I'm now working remotely and cannot 100% confirm that gdm did not finally
start. However, trap int3 tell us that gnome-shell has most probably crashed.
