In the latest Tumbleweed on an Asus ZenBook laptop, an external USB mouse works only if attached on booting with power cord plugged. Once I unplug the machine from power and stay on battery, the mouse gets deactivated, and it stays inactive even if I disconnect and reconnect it, till a re-boot with power cord. Before some recent updates, the mouse used to work always, on battery or on external power.
